Leave It to Beamer Presents: The Elephant in the Room by Clay Boura is just too cute, with excellent and colorful illustration. I found myself laughing out loud looking at Elephant Ninjas stalking Pachyderm Punks. We don’t realize how many times we use expressions that younger ones wouldn’t understand because they take them literally and The Elephant in the Room is a good example. Leave It to Beamer Presents: The Elephant in the Room by Clay Boura even provides an explanation at the end of what an idiom is, what this particular idiom means, and thoughts of where this phrase originally came from and why. Kids will get a kick out of this book and so will their parents.

GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS TOO! Highly original and imaginative with wonderful illustrations. The author has clearly taken great care in creating this labor of love. Not only kids will benefit - I'm sure lots of adults are also wondering what is meant by the "elephant in the room."
Well written and illustrated. Very entertaining
GREAT BOOK SERIES! I love the "Leave It To Beamer" series. I have read them to several elementary classes and the students love them as well. Once you buy one you will want to buy them all.
WONDERFUL SERIES! This is a great story and a great series. I highly recommend it!
We received this book to give an honest review.
I liked how we learn about the idiom of the elephant in the room. It is something that people say at times and most people don't know why they say it.
So with Beamer his parents use this idiom and he uses his imagination to figure out what it means to him which is pretty neat.
At the end of the story Beamer learns exactly what it means when people say there is an elephant in the room. My son said the book was neat but he didn't like the eyes on the family as they creeped him out!
When we got to the end and read the little information on how this saying came to be we discussed what it means and how maybe sometimes you should address the problem you have instead of letting it sit there like an elephant.
